Our Mission
Guided by survivors, we offer peer support, holistic healing workshops, and prevention-focused education to cultivate a compassionate, empowering space where healing takes root, resilience is restored, and lasting change becomes possible.

We envision a world where all survivors of sexual violence are not only heard, but deeply valued. Where survivors voices are respected, their truths are believed, and their strength is celebrated.

- Include & Connect – We are committed to inclusivity and intersectionality, honoring the full spectrum of survivor identities and experiences. We meet people where they are, fostering safe, welcoming spaces built on equity, compassion, and authentic connection.
- Heal with Compassion – Compassion is at the core of everything we do. We believe that true transformation begins with love, connection, and safety.
- Inspire Change – We envision a world where survivors are believed and never blamed. Through education, awareness, and community, we challenge stigma and inspire cultural change to end sexual violence.
- Act with Integrity – We honour survivors’ truths by fostering trust, confidentiality, and authenticity in everything we do. Integrity guides our relationships, our programs, and our promise to always put survivors first.
Acknowledgement
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, STAND ASA both honours and acknowledges Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
