Peer Support

No guilt. No blame. No shame.

There is healing in knowing you are not alone.

We provide confidential and anonymous peer support to anyone 16+ of all backgrounds and socio-economic status: Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, immigrant and new Canadian, people of colour, disabled, survivors of neglect, abuse, sex trade, war, and torture.

Individual Support
Our individual peer support sessions are designed to help survivors of sexual violence heal, adapt, and eventually thrive with a renewed sense of self-worth, determination, resilience, and joy for life.

When you participate in peer support, you’ll be connected with a Peer Support Mentor—someone who has experienced something similar and can truly understand what you’re going through. Peer support is built on a foundation of compassion, understanding, and love, creating a safe and supportive environment for your healing journey.

Sessions are confidential and anonymous, ensuring your privacy and comfort. We offer up to 18 one-hour sessions, conveniently provided over the phone, so you can access support from the safety of your own space.

You don’t have to face this journey alone. We’re here to walk beside you every step of the way.
Group Support
STAND ASA offers virtual group peer support sessions once a month, providing a safe and supportive space for survivors to connect and heal together.

Each one-hour session begins with an introduction to a focused topic in the first half, followed by an open sharing and discussion period during the second half. Join us to explore valuable insights, share experiences, and find strength in community.
